What to do in Destin, Florida at night. Baytowne.

Baytowne is one of the reasons Destin is becoming more and more famous.  This is one of the hottest places on the Gulf Coast to enjoy yourself after hours.  Visit www.baytownewharf.com or information.  Baytowne actually has everything one would look for while on vacation.  It has, of course, places to stay, drink, eat and play. But what you didn’t know is that it has much more…. It is a place to spend time and be generally be happy.  This post will give you some insight as to what happens here after the sun sets.  It has everything from live music to live djs playing a good range of music to get your feet moving to the beat no matter where you are from or who you are.  The wharf at Baytowne covers it all from fine wine to dueling pianos.

After you have spent the day in Destin, maybe parasailing with Destin Beach Parasail, marinating on Crab Island, or simply laying on the beach, Baytowne wharf is a great beginning and end to the night.  Monday nights a Block party is held for any and all.  Tuesdays enjoy the fireworks.  Wednesday they have a concert series with great local musicians.  The rest of the days are open to do any and all of the following beginning with one of my favorites, Funky Blues Shack.

Great food, great atmosphere, and better music than any other venue on the Gulf Coast of Florida.  Funky Blues shack has become the go to place for good food and better music.  Check them out at www.graffitifbs.com for upcoming shows and events.  They are the only place to serve craft beer in Baytowne.  Another stop at the Wharf is Fat Tuesdays.  Blended and chilled this place delivers up vacation in a cup with a wide range of daiquiris.  Stay and chill at Fat Tuesdays or take it to go.  Not wanting to have a drink on the move?  Visit Rum Runners.  Mainly a dueling piano bar they have been voted best of Destin casual dining in 2012.  Don’t forget they have an upstairs sports bar for those following sports.

Now for the last to places.  They are complete opposites but show how diverse Baytowne Wharf is.  Lumpy’s wine and bottle shop is the upscale place to be with 20 wines by the glass and over 250 wines by the bottle.  Lastly The village door is the olny place in Baytowne with a live dj.  It is actually the only place on the Gulf Coast to to call itself a live music dance club.  Anywhere you want to visit here in Baytowne you are sure to be entertained.  The food is good and so is the party.
